To answer your question, yes, you can still use 3rd party software to EXTRACT zip files to folders, and certainly THOSE (extracted) files will show up as icons in Windows Explorer using SewIconz. You CAN see icons if you use the native Windows Explorer viewer to see the contents of zip files (as long as the zipped files are not inside folders in the zip archive, in which case even the Explorer viewer won't display the icons!) "The reference to the 3rd party extractor only means that you can not see the icons when you open the zip using the 3rd party software, like WinZip.
I wrote Steve from Snads computing and ask for a better explaination of the SewIconz program in regards to the Third Party Zip Exactor programs such as WinZip etc.
